Annandale Golf Club is in West Pasadena. The club was established in 1906 by several prominent members of the Pasadena community, including Henry Huntington, the famed railroad magnate and philanthropist, and George Patton Sr., father of the famous American general. The private club has a storied history and included many famous families such as the Gambles, Kelloggs and Weyerhaeusers who sought the mid-climate of Southern California in the early 1900s as a retreat from the cold winters of the Midwest and Northwest. Paul Runyon, two-time winner of the PGA Championship and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, was the club pro in the 1950s and member of the club at the time of his death in 2000.
